MSCF Delicious Dishes Dessert & Appetizer Contest 2022

For the first time in MSCF, we are introducing this delectable contest at the 2022 Family Picnic, to bring out the hidden talents amongst us! Please be sure to RSVP for the Family Picnic using the following link: https://www.orlandotamilsangam.org/event-4947414 

Please pick an appetizer and/or a dessert of your choice, review the guidelines below thoroughly, and register promptly to participate! Registration for the contest is now closed. 

All dishes, along with the list of ingredients, should be submitted between 11:00am - 11:30am at the Family Picnic on September 17th, 2022.

APPETIZER/DESSERT CONTEST GUIDELINES: 

• The contest is open to all MSCF Active Members 18 years and older. (16 years to 18 year old members may participate with parent consent!)

• You can either participate individually, or team up with a partner; but a maximum of two people per team!

• Please prepare and cook the food at your own home, and bring over a minimum half-tray quantity of each item. 

• You must provide a list of the ingredients, along with a name for your dish, on a separate sheet of paper (preferably typed). 

• Do not include your name in the dish’s name (to maintain anonymity). 

• Please do mention if your dish contains peanuts, nuts, eggs, or any meat items, in consideration for those tasting the dishes. 

• All dishes, along with the list of ingredients, should be submitted between 11:00am - 11:30am at the Family Picnic on September 17th, 2022; in order for us to keep the entries anonymous and to allow for sufficient time to prepare for the tasting. 

• We kindly request all participants to practice clean and safe food handling.

• Store bought items will not be allowed in the contest. We respectfully request for all dishes to be made strictly by the participants only. 

• We trust that all participants will share the responsibility of being honest and fair, and maintain the integrity of the contest!

Your submission will be presented anonymously for public tasting and voting. A winner for Desserts and a winner for Appetizers will be selected based on the total count of votes received. The winners will be recognized at our upcoming Deepavali celebration on October 22, 2022!!
