At MSCF Charity 2023, we believe that a quality education is the foundation of a thriving and successful life. Through our Sponsor-A-Student program, you can help make this opportunity a reality for students who are facing economic and educational barriers. Scholarship Applications

MSCF is accepting nominations for educational scholarships for the year 2023. After we receive the nominations, we will share the specifics of each nomination with you so that you can sponsor the student of your choice. 

Please read the rules below carefully and submit your nominations by July 31, 2023.

The MSCF member should only email nominations after thoroughly checking the application and supporting documents for completeness. DO NOT ask applicants to send emails directly.

Please submit your nominations at the earliest as per the requirements below.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Only active MSCF members can refer candidates
2. Members should verify the details with their candidates before asking them to apply. Please refer only deserving students who need financial assistance to pursue their college education
3. Candidates can apply directly online using application form link. All supporting documents are to be uploaded online along with the application itself.
4. All applications are subject to review and approval for the year 2023. Submitting application does not guarantee the scholarship.
5. We are inviting application from new candidates and also 2022 recipients
6. Recipients of 2022 scholarships should re-apply to be considered again for 2023
7. Deadline to apply for 2023 scholarships
1. For current students - Jul 31, 2023
2. For new students waiting for admission - TBD

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Make sure the following information is available before you proceed to fill application.

1. Student personal details, contact information, family income
2. MSCF member's name, email address and phone
3. For students already in college - Marks from last 2 semesters
4. For students joining college in 2023 - 12th standard marks
5. Legible soft copies of following documents to upload
1. Recommendation letter from teacher/principal/community member
2. Passport photo
3. Ration card
4. Current college students
5. Mark sheets from last 2 semesters
6. College Photo ID with photo clearly visible

IMPORTANT TIMELINES

• All nominations are due by July 31, 2023. Nominations submitted after the due date will not be considered.

• Selected students and the nominating members will be informed by August 15, 2023, about scholarship disbursement.

• 2015 Chennai Floods - Over $20,000 raised and used to help affected people directly
• 2018 Kerala Floods - Over $4000 raised and donated to organizations
• 2018 Cyclone GAJA - Over $4500 raised and donated for rehabilitation of affected farmers
• 2020 COVID 19 assistance - Over $4500 raised to help people affected by COVID-19 in India and the US
• 2021 COVID 19 assistance - Over $5200 raised and donated to charitable institutions for providing medical services to the underprivileged in India
